Do you remember the Drunk Elf Maiden?…

Well, the same client asked for a series of fantasy ladies doing stuff not that "fantasy" XDDDD

Finally, I’ve just found a bit of time to do this questionnaire... I was tagged by :iconkmyechan:
So, ready... steady... GO!

How long have you been on DeviantArt?
Six years. I jonied this community not at its early stage... but hey, six years is not that bad, isn't it?

What does your username mean?
Now it's actually my real name, with SG which reminds my former nickname, ScarletGothica. So, what does "ScarletGothica" mean? Well, first of all, "Scarlet" is because I love red in its every nouances and variation. The word "Gothica" instead, is not that obvoius as it seems. Undoubtedly, a lot of my works refers to the Art of Gothic Revival, Romanticism and Decadentism streams, so the nickname match perfectly with this. But the thing I like most of these artistic waves is their tendency to ugliness, weird and paradoxical. I like to find beauty where there is ugliness.

Anyway, even if I still like this kind of stuff, I feel like not to use this nickname anymore. It's something that belongs to the past, and I think in the meanwhile, I’ve grown up… hopefully! I don’t need a nickname which describes my art or my style, I want my style and my artworks speak directly for me. :D

Describe yourself in three words.
Eternally unsatisfied and always-looking-ahead girl (I know, the dash signal doesn’t make one word only… I’m sorry).

Are you left or right handed?

What was your first deviation?
oh my gosh, the awkward part of the interview has begun? Anyway, this was my first deviation:

Reve D'Automne by Claudia-SG

yes… don’t say a word.

What type of art do you tend to favourite the most?
As I said a few questions ago, I’m always looking ahead and looking around too. I love a lot of different kind of artworks, what really counts for me is the high quality work. Anyway, maybe if I say what I don’t like, you may understand me better? I don’t like any artworks which is just a demonstration of technical skills, they bore me till death…

Who is your all-time favourite deviant artist?
I love so many artists, I really can’t choose one… really, I love everyone who’s in my watching list, I rarely change my mind and I sweari: t’s REALLY a long list.

If you could meet anyone on DeviantArt in person, who would it be?
I had the chance to meet some of my fellow deviants (during a comic convention in Losanne in 2012 if I don’t get wrong), KmyeChan and zancan for instance, and I couldn’t be more happy about it: Kmye is an amazing person online, and live is even better: smart, uber-talented and funny. Zancan is one of the sweetest person I’ve ever met, and his art is insanely great! Some deviants I follow had become real friends in real life, as eloelo or elena-casagrande, and they’re amazing in every aspects, not only the artist one.
I also met  Bea-Gonzalez and NekroXIII a couple of time, and also Esther-Sanz
Oh gosh, I think I’ve already met a lot of people here and I don’t want to forget someone, so I’ll stop here. XD

How has a fellow deviant impacted your life?
As I said before, every deviant I watch it’s important to me: I try to take the best from all of them, for my artistic growth thsi si an essential step!

What are your preferred tools to create art?

I love both digital and traditional techniques, but If I have to say just one tool, I’d say coloured pencils!

What is the most inspirational place for you to create art?
My lil’ studio corner in my bedroom, because I have no other place to go! XD

What is your favourite DeviantArt memory?
Oh gosh, I think it’s something happened before I joined DA, something happened before the social networks, when the internet was the place of forum boards, websites and personal blogs.
I remember I had just my website and a few more places where I tried to show my artworks to the “world wide web”, and I had a notification via e-mail that there was a girl (or a boy, who knows?) whom downloaded all my stuff from my website, cut the watermark and signatures, and then re-upload my artwork on a Deviant Art profile, with another nickname pretending she/he was the author of all that illustrations. Luckily the felon had been unmasked, but this is actually the reason why I joined this community a few time after this event.

YAY, I’m finally done with this interview, I quote Kmye: "If you or your art has been mentioned above: congrats, you've been tagged! Do hate me.
If you haven't done this questionnaire and want to do it: feel free to feel tagged too!"

Just tag it with #DeviantArtistQuestionnaire.

As usual, I apologize for my bad english, and I hope you had fun reading this questions...
